Pay CHWs.
Despite their vital work CHWs have long been subject to global debate about remuneration. But the discussion should move on to how to pay CHWs, not whether they should be paid.
Spreading the Word
Since 2018, we’ve been compiling a regular research round-up of the most insightful, illuminating, and provocative studies and papers about Community Health Workers (CHWs) and community health.
For each paper, we provide the key takeaways and implications.
This enables you to stay up-to-date with the current literature on CHWs and community health quickly and easily.
Types of Studies We Cover
Evidence of many types is required to advance the mission of making professional CHWs (proCHWs) the norm worldwide.
For some audiences, a rigorous randomized controlled trial or systematic review will have the most impact. While other campaigns might benefit from a case study, qualitative interviews, or expert commentary on a timely issue.
To that end, the Research Roundup includes anything Community Health Impact Coalition (CHIC) and our partners can use to equip international norm setters with the high-quality evidence needed to create proCHW guidelines.
